I think I have a similar problem. I got my G35 two weeks ago, and the next day I hear a horn honking in the parking lot where I was at. It was my car. A few days later, it did the same thing. I thought it was because my remote opener was in my pocket and I was accidentally pressing the panic button. However, today I was cleaning my G20 in the driveway. The G35 key and remote were hanging on the key ring with the G20 key in the G20 ignition. I wasn't anywhere close to the remote, yet the alarm in the G35 went off. I hadn't touched the G35. I fear that there is a bad switch somewhere, but this thing is so intermittent that it will be nearly impossible to determine which one is bad.

Did you ever determine what was causing your alarm to go off?

My alarm has gone off a few times in my driveway and garage. However, I think the keys were in my pocket each time and something was hitting the panic button.

Mine has only gone off when I had the keys in my hand and I was doing something with my hand such as moving something near the car. I was sure I pressed the panic alarm inadvertently.

So...to verify whether or not the problem is accidental pressing of the panic button or an alarm problem, I disabled the panic button on the remote. This was pretty easy. The key fob opens easily and the circuit board comes out of the button area. When you push the buttons, they press on a piece of clear plastic with small black contact surfaces which make contact on the circuit board. I put a piece of tape across the panic button contact on the clear plastic and tested it. I just used Scotch tape since that is all I had at the location I was at. Electrical tape might be better. The panic button no longer works.

Now we will see if alarm goes off.

I have the same problem with mine and it's getting pretty irratating. I'd be at work or sleep and it would go off by itself with nothing anywhere near it that could have caused the alarm to go off. One some nights it would happen 2-3 times, keeping me from getting a good night's rest. I want to call my dealer to have them give me full refund for it.

But when I got in and just stuck the key in, the alarm started going off. Hit unlock and it stopped. Now every once in awhile, the alarm will go off when I STOP the car. What gives??
Just might be a problem with the Body Control Module (if the fob is ok).
Have the dealer check it out.

Mine kept doing this at home overnight (in the garage) when the weather was cold. I assumed (since there was nothing in the garage and no-one near the remote buttons) that this meant there was some problem. I thought it might have been related to a low battery maybe, and something getting triggered on and off ?

Who knows... it stopped after a couple of sleepless nights.

I have a 2003 sedan and my alarm would go off (from what i could tell) when temperatures were warming up. It would happen anywhere. Learned that it was the hood pin switch for the alarm. i simply unplugged it. The pin switch on my car was on the passenger side. it's black. I haven't had my alarm accidentally go off for months now.

Cleaning or replacing the pins is often a good and cheap solution to this problem. IDK if the Infiniti ones can be cleaned or not, but they probably can. I would want all of my pin switches hooked up for security.
