Do the 6MT Sedans come with VLSD?

Actually some 2003s did have it. It was the late 2003s that did.

 

Are you sure about that? I thought it was introduced, in late 2003, for the 2004 model year.

 

Last I heard 2003.5 had them.

 

No, I had a 2003.5 6MT sedan and it did not have VLSD. The 6MT was introduced mid-year in 2003 so there weren't any earlier 6MTs.

 

My 2003.5 doesn't have one and mine is a pretty late build for '03.

 

So you heard or do you know it as fact? Because I'm pretty damn sure the VLSD was introduced as a NEW thing to the '04 model.

 

After doing some research I am not sure. You could be right or wrong as well. It seems on a lot of old posts, the 2003 6mt's possibly did come with LSD because it shows it on the specs and magazine reviews. But also some people tested the cars themselves and it seemed to have it. It wasn't advertised as heavily.

So not sure.

 

Well, I know for a fact that my '03.5 6MT, which also had a late build date, did not have limited slip. A "short take" review of an '03.5 6MT sedan, in Car and Driver, that I have on-hand also makes no mention of LSD.

 

However it may have come up in anyone's research, I do need to point out. No 03 or 03.5 G35 sedan ever left the factory for north american consumption with VLSD. For 2004 all 6MT sedan's got VLSD. For 2005 all sedan's equipped with the optional sport suspension come with VLSD, which is of course standard on 6MT sedan's.
