Do you just pull out at the top, then pull up away from dash? TIA

If you are removing it because the tanish color doesn't match the rest of the interior, I don't blame you. When I see that crappy looking tan trim on my DG graphite car, I just shake my head in disgust and wonder who in Infiniti thought that one up. It should be the same color as the headliner or the dash. It is tan regardless of what color you get.

I want to remove it to run some wiring underneath.

grow your fingernails out... stick them in between the trim and the roof liner. Just pull it. It should pop right out. Three fasteners I believe. How thick is your wiring? You can also use a credit card and push it between the trim and the windshield.

The reason I was told (why the headliner and A/B pillars are tan) is because it makes the interior less claustrophobic. Actually the salesperson told me this. I thought that was funny but what can we do? I was hoping it was something we can change (as an option).

Take a look at other premium brands and you'll see the same thing.

Yes, that's all you have to do. There are two clips holding it against the metal and at the base of the molding (down by the dash) there's a slotted piece that is shaped so that you need to pull the whole thing toward the rear of the car once the two clips are popped out.
