Ok. I tried to take some pictures of my scrape (doesn't really count as a ding I guess). It won't work since all that shows up is the reflection of the flash or the reflection of the things around the car in the rest of the paint. LOL
Well after looking very closely at it I am afraid that it is in fact past the clearcoat and at a couple of tiny spots well into the paint. I will still try to buff it out and try the GS27 stuff if that doesn't work but I am a little discouraged now. The only good thing is that it appears to only be dirt unless you look at it really closely so that may help me live with it should I have to.

Hey Cheryl.... Brian here. Sorry to hear about the scrape. It happens to the best of us... In fact, I was "bumped" last week and got a few chips on my bumper luckily near the very bottom below the tag. I was able to touch them up and you can't see them.
I hope the GS27 stuff or the Meguiar's ScratchX works for you.
If you picked up a DA buffer or orbital buffer for the wax job, try and "work it out" with the ScratchX and the buffer. If that doesn't do it, maybe a professional with a highspeed buffer may be able to help, but it really depends on the depth of the scrape. If it is in fact paint residue as Trey thinks, I've seen those be worked out before.
Good Luck!!! Let us know what happens!
ps... Did Trey not know about us till now? LOL.. jk. all in good G fun, we're all friends here.

I was all set for the wax job this weekend and the F'ing weather decided not to cooperate! We'll see what it's like tomorrow and hope for the best. Borrowing a buffer but it's a cheap one so not sure if it will do everything I need it to. LOL

You gotta always park FAR AWAY, even for a just-run-in-and-get-milk stops. Try to park where you're against only an other vehicle's passenger door side. Stay away from handicap spots, most are fat loads who kick the door open to make enuf room for the large asses to get out. Never park next to a 2-door (they have longer doors).
