Cubbyhole door where Navi goes
Cubbyhole door where Navi goes
I don't have the Navi, just the cubby hole. The lid on the right side sits up higher than the dash, but the left side sits flush. Anyone else have this problem. Is there an easy fix or should I ask the dealer if they can fix it?
Mine is flush. Perhaps it is out of the hole it is supposed to pivot in/ I haven't tried to take mine out to check the mechanism, so I don't know if that is a possibility. But, as cato said, let the dealer fix it. BTW, is the a new problem or has it always ben like that?
Let us know the resolution. Good luck.

Do you guys stick anything in there? I can fit one-and-a-half CD cases. How dull. Surely someone has jammed something interesting in there I should know about.
For example, a roll of hundred-dollar bills to impress the toll clerk. (Nonchalantly peeling off bill at plaza: "How much? Seventy cents? Can you make change for a Benajamin?") Or maybe the younger single guys cram a bunch of rubbers in there, the extra-large ones that every man at one point says he buys, yet mysteriously are always covered in a thick, undisturbed layer of dust at the drugstore. Always impresses the ladies on a first date.
I dunno. But surely you guys are making better use of the I-saved-two-grand-hole than I am.

It also makes a great place to keep the valet key and the key to the other cars.
I have though about installing an IPOD dock there, but I can't figured out an way yet. I like having the cup holders, so the install the cup holders won't work for me. Any ideas?

^I think there is a thread on an ipod dock there. There is a not-too-old thread on what is kept in there. I use it mainly for the little notebook I record my miles, gas used type of driving, oil change etc.
Yes, my wife thinks it is silly, but in the bad old days, knowing your MPG was down was a way of knowing your car had a problem, or at least was ready for the next 3000 mile tune up--new or cleaned points (remember those), plugs, check of timing, etc. It's much better these days. And from a previous thread, you know hopw old I am Cheryl!
Sometimes I put my cell phone in it or other items begging for temporary storage. I try not to put my wallet in it because that would leave the wallet key in the car where it won't help me get in.
