Hello everyone - about to get a new G35.
Hi.
My family has been a long time domestic driver, but my dad was looking for a new sedan and I recommended the G35 sedan. We both wanted the 6-speed manual transmission.
We're right in the middle of purchasing one, I think we got a good deal. We couldn't find any '05 6-spd sedans here in the NYC area, but our local dealer actually had 2 leftover 2004 6-spds with Prem. packages. MSRP was $34,750, they gave it to us for $31,500 - so I thought it was a good deal.
Just saying hello and planning to post here often. Thanks.
Josh

Congrats, but I'd tell your dad to hold out. That deal isn't good enough. That's about the same deal I got back in October of last year. Although, in your area, it might be good enough and you don't want to stop the deal entirely. Tell them to throw in some free car washes. Those boys at the dealership are going to make their money. Use edmunds.com You'll know if the deal is right.

WAY Too high
If you are paying anywhere near invoice for an 04 sedan, i think it is too high.
I got my 05 G35x just couple of weeks back and I paid couple of hundered below invoice.
For an 04, I will not consider the deal unless it is atleast 2000 below invoice. There have been "MAJOR" changes for an 05 and the new 06 are coming out soon.
I seriously think it is not a good deal based on my research I did for purchasing my car.
Good luck.
