Road to nowhere

Yesterday I was able to go out and take some pics. The Eibach springs have finally settled and this is the drop I ended up with. I really like the look, Not slammed, just slightly lowered from stock.

That's looking sweet...and those rolling undeveloped hills...I remember when we had some of those here in Orange County...
Me like those lips

Looks great! I really like the look, because it's not radically "slammed" but lets the wheels/tires fill up the wheel well nicely. I REALLY like the Nismo body kit on your car. I was looking at your wheels and thinking how nice the Ruff wheels would look on my car, then I noticed the body kit. Where did you get it? I'd really appreciate the tip. Thanks.

It dropped about 1” in the rear and 1.25” in the front

The top picture was taken on Sierra road overlooking the Gargill salt mines in the bay. It looks deserted but had I taken the picture from the other side of the car, you would have seen the bay area’s urban sprawl in the distance.

The Body kit was already on the car when I bought it. My car has every option a 6mt could get. I bought it in new in 9/03 with 18 miles on the clock and since it was so late in the model year and it already had a years worth of depreciation, I was able to get a smoking deal which really negated the cost of all the options.

I'm looking into getting RUFF 278 wheels for my 05 G35 sedan, and i'm wondering if you have any gripes on the quality and what not. Thanks

They seem to be pretty good wheels so far. They are one piece cast so they will be heavier than a forged wheel. With tires my front weighs 56 and the rear weighs 62 which is not much more than my stock 17" 5 spoke wheels weighed. The lip is not anodized so it can be polished up very nicely.

Yea, i've read other people's comments about them in other threads, and they seem to be holdinng up well from teh few people who have them. I'm 75% sure i'm gonna get them. ONe last question, as far as the offset, i know in ur last post u said it was a tight fitl, and that u might have to roll ur fenders. Is it still a major problem? As in, when u got them, could u jsut pop them right on, get them balanced and aligned, and u were good to go? And are the dunlop tires decent? Thanks man! and hopefully, i'll be another G35 sedan running around with Ruffs!

In this style only 20mm and 35mm ofsets were available. I am not sure what is available on the 278 wheel. I would imagine its the same. If you plan to run a 19X9.5 rear like mine, you will have to roll the fender. a 45mm offset for the rear is optimal. If this is an issue, I would look at other wheels that offer the correct offsets

here is an answer from the guys that have the listing on ebay, it is in reference to the 278's and my sedan:

Question from texasboyscout
Item: 19" RIMS G35 350Z 19X8.5 19X9.5 STAGGERED WHEELS RIMS (7986587279)
This message was sent while the listing was active.
texasboyscout is a potential buyer.

I have a 2005 Infiniti G35 MT6 Sedan. It has the "Sport" suspension and the 18" factory wheels. Can you check fit on the 8.5 by 18" and the staggered 8.5 by 19" and 9.5 by 19" for my car? I love the look of these wheels! I found out about your auction on www.G35driver.com

Just in case you are interested.

Thanks, Bill

Here is the answer he returned:

Thank you for your interest in our company and products, you can fit the staggered fitment on your car, however the rear 9.5 width will be right under your fenders. If you have any other questions feel free to send us an e-mail or call us 1-888 714-7467. Thank you.

I think that's the problem with the +35 offset.
