[QUOTE=Texasscout]10K on mine and [COLOR=Purple]ZERO DUST![QUOTE]

I wish i could say the same. 15k (km) on my '05 X and the dust has been pretty nasty from the beginning. However, the brakes work great!

I have to work on this quoting thing...

I am willing to bet, that even though you are seeing dust, it's no where near what it was on any '03-'04, all brakes give off dust to some extent. I did see in the brochure for the '05, that the rotors for the X seem to be the same size as the '04.

When I purchased my 2005 G35X I did some research and found that the G35X did not get any rotor or caliper upgrades. Just the brake pads changed.

So, who has the most mileage on their 2005 G35X without the need to change pads? Could the premature brake pad wear issue have been solved with just a pad material change?

I found it odd that Infiniti would upgrade the brakes on the G35 but not on the heavier G35X.

[QUOTE=ABQ_G35]So how is the dust issue on you G35X? I too don't understand why they didn't change the rotors/calipers on the X, hmmm.......

The dust on my G35X isn't too bad. We get lots of rain here so my rims get dirty quickly. The G35X rims get dirty a bit slower than the other 2 cars I had in the past (Audi & BMW). The rear rims stay fairly clean.
In short, I can't complain about the amount of brake dust on the 2005 G35X but it's not amazingly low either.

I just hope we get decent life out of the brakes otherwise Infiniti better cover our brakes too. It would be a shame if the 2005 G35X got caught between:
1. Better brakes on 2005 G35 sedan, therefore longer brake life.
2. Poor brake life on pre-2005 sedans, therefore free brake service.

Hope Infiniti is watching this issue.
