Is there any way to turn off the high beam (or the bottom light) while I am driving. I always see coupes and some sedans with just the xenons on at nite and none of that nasty, yellow, high beam test.

Easy answer is make sure you don't have them on in the first place. What I think your seeing is the fog lights on which will sort of light the lower area. that switch is just further down the stalk

yeah, on my 05 G35X with the xenon's, they are the top light I believe. They will be on with the yellow driving lights. when you hit the fog switch, the bottom lights come on also. When you hit the brights, the bottom lights get brighter. I think this is how all this works.

You should read the owner's manual.

Out of curiousity, do you live in a country that requires daytime running lights, say, Canada?

On my car (I'm in the US) what you described doesn't appear to be possible.

This is just my guess though.

The sad part is he lives in California. But it's SoCal.

Maybe he's talking about the clearance bulb AKA city lights???

Ummmmmm, yea, that's the clearance light NOT the high beam. Change the bulb to a whiter one or remove the bulb all together.
