Is there a way to set the door locks to engage when the car starts moving? I only ask because I was also thinking about buying an IS300. That car doesn't default to automatic locking but there is a way to set it. Does the G35 have this feature?

Re: door locks
Yes. This option is programmable with the Consult-II box. Check with your service adviser.

Re: door locks
There are a lot of changes you can program into your car via the Consult II tool at the dealer, as well as some changes you can make yourself with the keyfob concerning hazzard indicator and horn modes when locking and unlocking your ride.(pages 3-5 and 3-6 in the O/M).

I've checked thru my Sedan ESM, and I don't believe that it can be programmed to lock the doors automatically on departure. Unless there's been a change recently, then you can't have that option, sorry dude..........

Of interest would be a readout of all the changes you can make (or have made for you) to the BCM. Contact Gordgee for a link to his post. Or maybe he would post it again in our FYI section----- GOOOOOOOOOOOOORD, come in Gord..............................
