Need Your Opinions for my Taillight Install

Thanks to a minor accident I'll be installing new tail lights. Should I go with the original or the new round ones as seen on the 05's?

I like them both....
If they had found a way to make the '05s w/o the bulge on the side,
I think it would have been better.

FWIW,
I changed my bu lights & kept the original tails

I did the 05 swap on my 04 Sedan. I love it.. plus it gives you the closer feeling to our big brother, the M35/M45.

Wondering if the survery respondants have a bias to the 05 because they own the 05? Not that it matters in my determination but was surprised to see the reaction this skewed.

Since it's covered by insurance I voted for '05. Otherwise I would say the '05s are not worth the 350+.

I like the original style. That was what first drew me to the sedan way back in '02, so I guess I'm a little sentimental about it. I also don't like the bulge of the '05's.

i know it sounds kind of wierd... but i think the bulge actually adds the perception of extra width to the rear end. especially if it's lowered and has wider tires. it's not as smooth, but unless you are staring at it at a certain direction, you don't notice the bulge. from the front and sides, it is not noticeable. what is noticable are the lights inside the housing, which look more 'sporty' like it's realtives (skyline, m, etc...). i'd get the new ones. nostalgia is one thing, but advancing with current styling is another. i'd say this an improvement over the already unique design.
