05 Sedan vs 350z AT

Both cars Auto, but the Sedan on tipronic. The new 05 A SEDANS are hella faster then the 03-04. So 05 Sedan TIPTRONIC vs 03-04 350Z AUTO?
Whats your take?

Nick

350z. it's a lot lighter. unless G is modded - but it'd need a lot to match the Z.

I dont think there is that big differance with the 05's and 03's. But anyway the Z should win it has more power and its smaller.

I raced a stock 03 Sedan aganist my 05 frm stop, roll, highway roll, and slaugthered it by 2 cars and gaining, and i beat a 03 stock coupe auto. So the 05 are faster in my opinion. They were both auto so you cant say they couldnt drive!

Go to the track and prove us wrong. All the track data we've seen from the 05s suggests it's not an ounce quicker or faster.

Those are mighty big words coming from a man who owns a car with only 10 more pounds of torque. I live in Cali and would be up for a spin

z hands down. c'mon guys lets be honest with ourselves, our cars are fast but not THAT fast. those cars got racing written all over them. we got a nice sports luxury sedan. they got 7 more horses, more torque, and they weigh a hell of a lot less. they arent really in the same class. but anyways we got a nice *** car too .

The only way that u can "slaugthere" it by 2 cars is him having 89 or 87 octane gas in his tank, and yes that makes a lot of difference.

I raced a 350Z at the Englishtown meet last mo. I do have some mods and I think we both had an auto. We actually raced twice. I had a 2.9 60 and got toasted. Then when we both launched about the same, He beat me off the line and then I reeled him in for a .4 second win. It's on tape on time slips and witnessed. It takes about 1000-1200 to get there in an 03. As for the 05, I don't know if consensus is there but the car is the same in the 1/4 as the older model G and seems to react not anywhere near as well as the 03's to power modifications. I gather this from the spacer thread that has some claims of losing power possibly due to the intake runner length changes. By the way ask an 05 owner how he/she staked up at the track against 05's before you get to cocky...there didn't seem to be any analysis of this but my guess is there is data out there to be had.
