what were the bimmer times?

 

The comparison test you're referring to was in Automobile, no Motor Trend.

 

The Bimmer 0-60 time was 6.1 and the G35 clocked a 5.8 (if memory serves me right). Funny thing about the article was they say the G35 is the hands down bargin but the interior still felt a little cheap and they also gave the BMW the nod on handling. Thanks, but I'll save my 6K and have a faster car.

 

The 330 posted the same 14.7 as the G did. The Bimmer had more stick in the turns and overall they felt it was the better car. However, the 330 was nearly 10K more than the G they tested.


Nope. I'm a subscriber to MT. I was at the airport yesterday and saw the brand new MT and took a glance since I hadn't received that particular issue. The cover has the new Miata on it.

 

Yep. It appears the only thing they added to the 05 G sedan was weight and a slightly better exhaust sound thanks to a 50% smaller resonator.

 

So, this is in the September MT then I assume?

 

This only applies to the 6MT sedans, not the autos.

I wouldn't make assumptions like this if I were you.

 

1) Member dynos suggest no extra power

2) Member 1/4 mile times suggest no extra power.

3) The tested times suggest no extra power.


Once a 05 5AT breaks a 14.2 or 98mph, then you can tell me my assumptions are wrong.

 

Where are the dynos for the 05s?
