OFFICIAL '06 G35 details available Aug 1 from SZM
Head to www.sportzmagazine.com on Aug 1 (if all goes as planned, 9 p.m. Pacific, midnight Eastern) for details on the changes to the 2006 G35 Coupe and Sedan. The Coupe, in particular, has an unexpected change or two that has not been mentioned on the boards.
Also look for details on our newest issue, which features a drifting guide, perhaps the most modified G in the US, and a brake invention by an SZM writer that could revolutionize braking. I'll have more later....

Thanks for giving us the heads up! Do you see the changes for the 06 models as being significant?

I've really said about all I can say--Nissan has an embargo on the information until Aug 1, which means we cannot techncially release details until 9 p.m. Pacific July 31 (Sunday night). But being an '05 owner (as I am), you really already know the answer to your question....

The magazine is not an online magazine, but a print magazine with high-quality paper and the works. However, we do publish time-sensitive articles online like the '06 changes (the same article will appear in the magazine itself). Only the magazine, though, will have a full range of G35 stories including reliable-source rumors of the '07 G....

I agree with MPG, gotta be the Flux capacitor or a Hyperdrive unit.

If he were to release the info prior to the date & time set by his source, he'll lose their trust and will likely no longer be privy to new info in the future. That kind of damage would be very difficult to recover from as a journalist.
If someone else releases it early, let them burn their bridges... That'll be 1 less competitor.

Nissan North America has an embargo on the G35 changes. (The '06 350Z announcement is embargoed for Aug. 15.) The information cannot be released by a media outlet (including websites) until August 1 or risk the PR ire of NNA. Techncially, Aug 1 begins Sunday evening at midnight on the East Coast, so Cali users will have access as early a 9 p.m. July 31.
Ok I was confused by your first post. You said “Head to www.sportzmagazine.com on Aug 1 (if all goes as planned, 9 p.m. Pacific, midnight Eastern) for details on the changes to the 2006 G35 Coupe and Sedan.” Isn’t 9 PM Pacific on August 1st actually Monday Night? Your latest post implied that we would be able to see the specs on your site on July 31st at 9:00 PM PST? Which date is correct? Can we see it Sunday night or Monday night West coast Time? Just trying to make sure that everyone doesn’t go to your site a day late. Actually if the info posted above is correct then you are already late.

I wasn't clear on the first post; my brain jumped ahead of my typing. The latter post is correct timewise: July 31 at 9 p.m. PST. I cannot comment on the other post since that information is embargoed. But I can definitely say I'm not trading in my G when the '06 is released.

Note that ALL issues of SZM include information on the G35, from tech tips and how-tos to full-blown features and shootouts. We've got a money-back guarantee, so there's no risk. And we'll put a pic of your car into the mag. Okay, so that last part might be a bit of a stretch....
