Bumper Damage on Delivery

I recently purchased a G35 sedan 6MT. When I picked up the car after purchase, I noticed the black protective lip (not sure what it is called) on the bottom of the front bumper was missing. The entire piece was missing, and I saw where it had broken off. The dealer sent it to the body shop to get fixed. My question is twofold. Is there anything that can be done to fix this or does the bumper have to be replaced? I'm sure the impact to snap this whole thing off was pretty hard. Is there anyway to know nothing else is damaged? Thanks.

That sucks. How did it break off? Did it look like someone drove into a curb or that something hit it from below?

Probably just broke the air dam, no biggie. Easily replaced. The body shop will look for more damage as you should. Make sure there's no scrapes on the underside of the bumper and no looseness.
And welcome to G35Driver.

Thanks for the info. Actually, I was at the dealer today, and they said they were going to just get a new bumper cover and re-paint it. I asked if there was anyway to get it from the factory painted, and they said no. Finally, they said they would just take the bumper off another sedan and put it on mine. I figured that would be the best solution. What do you think?
