What would you guys like to see in the next G35? Personally I would like them to add the automatic rear sun visor like they do in the I35. Has anyone ever sat in the FX45? I would love to see them put the same automatic tilt/telescoping steering wheel they have in the 45, in the G35. And what about intelligent cruise control?

I would like to see:

- Doors that don't creak and rattle.
- Shorter throw manumatic shifter.
- New ECUs for both Engine and trans that kills the adaptive learning Algorythm.
- Better sounding stereo
- Passenger auto controlls that match the drivers.
- Better quality grain of leather.
- Bigger sunglass holder.
- Mirrors that have memory with the seats.
- Rain sensitive wipers.
- DRLs first, full on 2nd, and Auto 3rd
- Xenon fogs
- Projection headlamps.
- I would like to pull the auto stick toward me to enable manumatic mode, instead of push away.
- 18" wheel package offer (coupe type wheels)
- Real LSD
- Cover for the Brake master cylinder to match battery cover
- Better looking engine cover. This thing really holds in the heat. Makes no sense to cover a pretty aluminum intake manifold with an ugly plastic piece.
- Spare wheel with the same rim on the car.
- MP3 Player option
- Telescopic steering wheel

Not many additions but lots of improvements needed. I love this car, but I feel quality has been sacrificed for price in some places.

Good list and I agree. I would also like to see the winter package give the rear passengers heated seats like the 04 Maxima. I would also like them to change the tire size to something a bit more standard like a 235/45 17 or 235/45 18. Dual exhaust on the sedan would be nice to see from the factory. Wider front seat bottoms(I need thigh room). Last but not least we should have already gotten the JDM Skyline key for our cars[img]/w3timages/icons/frown.gif[/img]

An ECU (ECM) with a Sport/Normal function. "Sport" = haul butt performance mode. "Normal" can be left as is in the adaptive mode.

For the auto tran cars... A true manual-matic that shifts right &*^#ing now!

 

Granted, some of those changes are quality issues. But, if the G was perfect then the price would be over $40K.

 

1. AWD for the 6MT
2. More common tire size (ex. 215/50/17)
3. Change premium package so you can get a sunroof and memory seats without the BOSE system and self-dimming mirrors. Make fold down rear seat backs available (how often are adjustible rear seats used?).

 

A 350GT sedan model that gets,................
1. Torsen LSD or please stop marketing the car as a sports sedan
2.The Z's 287hp (still happy with 260 however)
3.1 inch lower with the Z's stiffer than "sport" suspension
4. 18" wheels and tires 245 fronts 265 rears
5. Though I don't have a issue, make the VDC turn on or off with a voice command.

Every bit of that I want is parts bin engineering, except for the fancy LSD.

Want the sound system that is on the Max. Want the software that is on the Max's navi. Actually luxury cars dont have heated back seats. From what I know not even the Eclass or the Sclass has that option. What I would also like to see is a better rear sway bar if the car does have one. An better ecu and gas consumption and better paint job. So the car goes up in price let say 2000 with these options it still cost less than a BMW, Merc, Audi and Caldilac.

 

I want to see a new drivers seat without the stupid control cluster getting in the way. Seats should be symetrical so it fits the same on both sides. Not lopsided so that I have to sit more on the left side of the seat in order to be comfortable (take a look next time you're in the car).

That was a really good comprehensive list, and i agree wtih you completely on all of them. However one think we must consider is that we are driving the best bang for our buck. With these added qualities the price will def go up a deal... probably high 30's... Regardless the ECU NEEDS to be changed adn the leather is very shitty... great list!

 

One more thing,, i know im friggen dreaming on this one but the should make a G35R with a V8 or some sick TT action... this is the 18yearold side of me thats letting the imagination get the best of him but still that would be completely nuts...

 

1) Variable timing on intake and exhaust cams-more power and better mileage.
2) Better automanual
3) Better sport tires, 235-40 17 or 18
4) Better console surface
5) 6 speed automanual
6) Higher compression ratio, around 11:1 -more power, better mileage
7) Better quality brake parts
