Painted door/window trim/front grill/rear emblem

These are the results of operation blackout. I recently had door handles, front grill, rear emblem and window trim blacked out. The window trim was painted flat black. The door, grill, rear emblem were painted body color. I think it turned out okay. For those that were interested in doing this. Results that you can expect---- www.cardomain.com/ride/2079131

opinions welcomed..good or bad .

Do you have a full side view picture of the car? It does look great from the two pictures you've got posted. Great job.

Looks awesome- I am considering doing this to my G35. I am thinking about body color door handles, blacked out trim, and maybe blacked out grill.

It does look good but why do you still have polished/chrome wheels? I would think you would want to keep your accents chrome to match those sweet wheels.

PS you better not paint those wheels back or else I calling up the posse for a lynching

^^No I had one set that came off my old 2k2 maxima. The other set I just bought. I would have preferred to get polished lip and black face. But I didnt see anything I could afford posted at that time.

I had the trim painted because I thought it and the door handles disrupted the lines of the car. With it all black, the lines of car flow smoother and tint blends right in.

black out looks great... rims shape are good also, but chrome? oh noes! Also, why do you have more rim pics than car pics?

Would love to see some full side shots of the ride to get the whole effect. From what I see, I really like it, and that surprises me. I would have bet this would look like as$ and I would have been wrong.

This 'Black Beauty' looks sweet. I wonder if the same effect would work as well on other colors? I agree with your comment on the PW.

Gunmetal would look pretty sick on your car, but only if it's flat paint. If it's shiny, I think that it will clash too much with your DG paint.

I've got a bodyshop that will do this labor for a good price. Let me know if you want their contact info.

G35 coupe 6mt---rims are polished although I still love chrome. And I did have other pics they didnt come out great and I just decided not to post them. With my limited internet skills it did not seem worth the hassle.

Mark5---there is rubber and gap. Just wish my caddy butt could stomach a harsh ride

Geewillkers---Thanks. I think other colors dont suffer from the contrast as much. I would probably only do this to dark colors. The IP cars on here look fantastic without anything done to them. When I wax the cars again I plan on taking more/better shots.

Lip---I like gunmetal also. Especially on grayish cars.

Vodkarocket---Please post pics when done. I think your IP looks perfect as is. I would love to see the contrast. Nothing like improving upon perfection.

I admit I was a bit afraid to look at the pics, but was pleasently surprised. Really looks good, though what about clear corners? I think that would look extra nice. Can't wait to see more pics....

I like it. Looks kinda like the black chrome emblems that were floating around a couple of years back.

I would like to see better pics if possible.
