Finally springs for the X
Finally springs for the X
IMO, there was never an issue of springs for the X. People have been using Teins and H&R for a while now. The big issue is shocks. As of now, there are no sport shocks available for the X. The front suspension is the issue here. IMO, lowering'performance springs are of limited value when used with stock struts. I'm still waiting for Tokico to get some D-Specs ready for the X. Until then, I am staying with stock ride height.

There was always an issue when it came to springs for the X. Half a$$ing it by putting springs on from the RWD sedan is not considered properly lowering your car. You might as well cut the stock springs and still get the same result.
Its not about the ride height. Its about safety. If you put a spring on that was not designed for a certain application and the spring rate can not handle the added weight you will make the shocks work harder. Hence the bouncy ride. The bouncy ride will just get worse over time and eventually blow your shocks and that is an accident waiting to happen.
Have a nice day.

I won't drop mine til the setups right but I definitely understand those who have grown impatient. I mean, I love my car and all, but holy wheel gap Batman.
The added weight of the tranny is only supported by the front suspension.
I had my suspension on my race car setup by a professional shop and it was almost perfect. Well over one of the winters I transferred my 30lb battery to the trunk so I could make more room up front for larger I/C piping. The car was out of control after that. And thats only 30lbs. After a couple of adjustments it was all good again, but the first turn I took @ 120mph almost made me crap my pants. I almost went BYE BYE!!

I am more inclined to believe that Stillen f'd up their listing and it is not for the X at all but the RWD.

PS. I have fond memories of breakin loose in a 68 Chevelle SS 396 whenever the trunk was loaded. It didn't need the trunk loaded mind you, but it sure got goofy when it was. We won't talk about what that car got sold for many years ago - particularly in light of prices I have seen nowadays at the Barrett-Jackson auction.
