I was unsure of how it funtioned in the 6MT. I drove a few in the process of buying my 5AT, but didn't remember exactly how it functioned.

I honestly think if you just hook up the e-brake switch to the missing input from the (missing) park position sensor it'll likely just work. In the AT the seat doesn't move until the car is turned off, so that wouldn't be an issue.
Trust me, they're HIGHLY unlikely to have 'programmed' the ECM differently for both the AT and the MT. If you guys can identify the connectors and the wire colors I'd be glad to bust out the wirecutters and be the guinea pig.

So if they were not likely to use different ecms the teh chances are it could be enabled but ti might require the AT park switch config. I have pondering your observation about integrating it with the eBrake switch. I think this isthe best and most viable solution.
REally you only want both conditions to exist at entry and exit the best/easiest way to controll this is as you stated. Thnx for idea.

are their software/hardware packages for sale out there for owners to write their own ecm tunes? Something like sctflash offers for Ford products?
I know I will eventualy end up wanting to tune my car but I am only interested in this one attribute for now becasue I want to brak this thing in properly

well I spoke with a Service Advisor which we all know knows absolutely squat. He said he spoke to a master tech and the maste tech said that the MT Sedans do not have the Drivers seat control unit.
Well I think it is BS from what I can tell from the service manual, ,which I might add goes to grat lenghts to show where the AT and/or MT has something different from the other, this just is not the case. But I would also like to add that I am a BIG NOO-B to this car and would appreciate if a senior member could takesome time to review this with me.
I am willing and would like to try this mod but we all know planning is everything.

How were you planning to toggle the seat? Tying it to the e-brake (as shown on the left) would work (I believe), but I don't know if I'd want my seat and wheel doing the cha-cha every time I engaged the ebrake.

Could you use the key-in circuit? That's what my I35 used to use as a trigger. As soon as the key were removed, the seats would move back, anticipating my exit. Likewise, they'd move forward as soon as the key was inserted (which is similar to the IntelliKey, since it moves as soon as I push in on the ignition switch.

I tried these steps:
ENTRY/EXIT FUNCTION
This system is designed so that the driver's
seat and steering column will automatically
move when the automatic transmission
selector lever is in the P (Park)
position. This allows the driver to get into
and out of the driver's seat more easily.
(This feature is not available on models
equipped with manual transmission.)
The driver's seat will slide backward and
the steering wheel will move up when the
driver's door is opened with the key or ignition
**** in the LOCK position.
The driver's seat and steering wheel will
return to the previous positions:
O When the key is inserted into the ignition
switch after closing the driver's
door, or when the driver's door is
closed after inserting the key into the
ignition switch.
O When the ignition **** is pushed with
the driver's door closed.
O When the key or ignition **** is
turned to the ON position.
The entry/exit function can be activated
or cancelled by pressing and holding the
SET switch for more than 10 seconds
while the ignition switch is in the LOCK
position.
The indicator light will blink
once when the function is cancelled, and
the indicator light will blink twice when
the function is activated. If the battery
cable is disconnected, or if the fuse
opens, the entry/exit function will be cancelled.
In such a case, after connecting
the battery or replacing with a new fuse,
open and close the driver's door more
than two times with the ignition switch or
ignition **** in the LOCK position to activate
the entry/exit function.
When I pressed the set butto for 10 seconds I get a solid light on pos 1 and pos 2 and if i let go the it blinks I think about 5 times.
This is one tough nut to crack. I looked at the BCM wiring diagram and I do not se where the AT park would feed into it and according to the troubleshooting by symptoms. If the door switch works then they reommend replacing the BCM...
Maybe the BCM is different. still looking!

Well this may just boil down to the IKU as it seems to be the only piece that the MT does not have.
I think the IK is available in the Prem pkg b and c an I see that premim a is not listed with the AT Sedan.
Well hell! I think that about wraps it up. I think I will call to see if they sell the IKU and what the part cost is and if it is cheap enough I might try to install the part to se if I can get E/E feature to work.
