Smile 5 Small things you love about your G

With so much talk about what is wrong, I figure I will post on the positive.
Ill go first.
05, 6mt, 1200 miles.

1. The way Infiniti is spelled out on the trunk deck looks classy IMO.
2. The ash tray and lighter, I dont smoke, but I like that they are there.
3. The front grill on the 05 is Sweet.
4. The auto open/close on all 4 windows and moonroof, and the fact the rears go all the way down.
5. The doors dont automatically lock while driving.

One thing I definitely like - the sweet music that the V6 makes. Only time I have had the stereo on is when I test drove it and on the long interstate trip bringing her home. Else, I like to listen to that V6 under accelaration. Sweet, sweet, sweet...I have stock exhaust, I cannot wait to upgrade!

Just driving the car outweighs any negative.

Definitely the sound of the V6 accelerating. Also, the shape and external appearance of the car.

Good post ... here's 5 of mine:

1. The infiniti embossed kick plates along the floor of the door sill, very cool looking when you look at them
2. No beeping alarms or bells for the few seconds before I put my seatbelt on
3. Auto-open/close sunroof, I was dying for this in my old 97 maxima
4. The short-throw, light effort shifter ... much improved over earlier examples
5. Tne new rims with the 18" wheels on the sport package - fantastic!

Two words "the Look"

I don't mean just the look of the car, which is classy and distinctive, but hints at the hidden power underneath. I mean, "the look"; you know the one. You pull up at a stop light and someone pulls along side in the other lane, looks the car over bottom to the top, back to the front, a small smile, meets your eyes, a nod and the light changes.

It happens at least once a day. I just nod back and go on about my business knowing that I own a great ride.

I know exactly what you mean. It makes you feel even better when the other driver is in a corvette. And I know I was giving "the look" to other G's before I got mine......

1) No annoying beeping or auto gadgets. I can't stand cars that automatically lock doors, turn on lights, turn on wipers, beep at you about something, etc. I believe the driver should be in control of the car, not the other way around.
2) Other cars have it, but I really like the chrome trim around the windows.
3) I love the 05 smoked chrome grill as well.
4) I also love the 05 sport wheels. IMO, I have not seen an aftermarket wheel that looks better on the G.
5) Even though there a lot of G35 sedans on the road in my city just like mine, I still turn heads.

I got "the look" from a M-B driver!

I think the original poster was looking for what marketers call "surprise & delight" features. To wit:

-Business card holders - after nearly a year, i just found the holder under the passenger visor!
-Remote auto-down windows; terrific in hot weather.
-Auto unlocking of fuel filler door; just wish trunk was the same.
-Simple indicator lights (low-fuel, cruise, traction, etc.)
-Perceptually small steering wheel. even though it's basically the same size as that of my other vehicles, it seems smaller-even my 16-year old has remarked. Don't know how they do it.

1) The high and wide center console. I love being able to lean over on it while driving.
2) The fat and small steering wheel
3) Steering wheel controls
4) The best seating position I've ever found in car for a guy that's 6' 2" 185lb with long legs.
5) Auto/up down on all windows

I looooooove the look... got the look from a guy today in a brand new 745iL sporting some nice aftermarket chrome wheels... he said "It's hard to keep up with you" I smiled and said "You seemed to be doing a pretty good job, few people can keep up with me" "Is it a stick" "Yep, that's all I drive" "Beautiful car" I nodded and proceeded to spin my tires and take off Great compliment coming from someone with such great taste in cars. I love this car

1) keyless entry and ignition
2) the sound
3) throttle blip on downshift in MM mode (giving lots of that cool sound)
4) the price - this car is awesome value!
5) the way I love it more every day. It just feels like a better car and a better fit every time I drive it.
6) the color (tons of compliments)
7) the way hot rims really fill out the wheel wells and beef it up.
8) the shape of the headlights
9) the black chrome grill
10) this website!

as usual, I got carried away.
