I understand that some folks think it makes the seat uncomfortable -- but I'm 5'6" and 180 lbs. -- so I'm not thin and my butt still fits in the seat without coming anywhere close to the controls.
They get hidden by clothing, jackets etc.
Summer's not bad, but fall & winter is a PITA
I like the controls on the outboard side with shapes like the seat.
They have good tactile feedback & can be used easily w/o looking.

I don't think it's limited to the G though..
I broke down & bought a leaf blower to solve the problem.
Just blow the handles, mirrors, gas lid, trunk etc.
Then use you're MF towel.
No more streaks
The blower works great for this, I got one of those cordless Black & Decker models, no more water running out of nooks!Originally Posted by inTgr8r

It works on my machine

Has anyone with Sirius notice this as well. I must say that I have Sirius in the G and a stand alone unit and I never notice any compression artifacts. Could be my untrained ears but I think it sounds good.Originally Posted by trey.hutcheson
I used to listen to AM exclusively; mostly political stuff. Now I'm all about sports talk. The problem is with the exception of a few hours every night, our local sports talk scene just doesn't fit my tastes; so I wanted XM to listen to the national ESPN radio broadcast. While I love it, the compression is absolutely horrible. When I do listen to a music channel(squizz) on XM, I am quite disappointed.

What was Infiniti thinking when they...
...decided it'd be a good idea to sell a $35,000 car with the cheap interior of a $15,000 car, with crappy control layout and most digusting colored dash illumination in the world?
...put a $15 hood support on said $35k car instead of a hydraulic hood support
...made it so there's no way to know - other than by looking at how dim the dashboard is - whether the auto lights are on or off?

...put a faulty power module in my brand spanking new '05 G35 that immobilized the car 35 minutes after leaving dealer store! I have to say that they were pretty cool about it and exchanged the car for me!

You think our sound system beats the TL's? I think you need to go listen again. That system is regarded as the standard in our class and for good reason. It rocks and it integrates nicely with the bluetooth with it's voice dialing and in-dash call display. I didn't like the TL nearly as much from a driving standpoint but it's interior smacks us down.Originally Posted by LuXXXz

Don't mind Trey he is a tad bit picky about audio stuff. Originally Posted by MrBig

I notice the compression issues with XM but only rarely if I am paying attention and frankly it is absolutely no worse than regular FM at its worst IMHO.Banned

There are many ways to install a 10 inch sub. If your Bose beats your buddy's after-market 10 inch sub then he might want to consider one of those other many ways, cos somethin' ain't right.Originally Posted by LuXXXz

Haha, because sound quality is judged by the amount of bass you can put out.
Seriously, if you want to judge the two cars sit in both with an SPL meter and plot the freq response dropoff of both. We've done it here at work in both cars, the TL's system blows the Infiniti's out of the water. Of course sound is subjective so there are always those that will like a -10db drop all the way through the midrange with senslessly bloated thumping bass, but most people tend to enjoy a nice flat curve from 15Hz all the way up, the TL's is one of the best for that, which is saying something since it's so hard to do in an enclosed space like the inside of a car.
Don't get me wrong, I love my G, and I understand there are those of you who like the sound in it quite a bit, but trust me when I tell you the majority of people sitting in both a G and TL will agree the TL's sound is much, much better than the G, nevermind that it has DVD-A support, which (when playing a DVD-A) just puts the Bose in the G to shame.

Actually it's likely that what they are hearing is the Bose's "Bass Module" barfing out it's +8-15db under 35Hz "thump bass". It can be incredibly "bassy", but it sounds like absolutely trash. Odds are the TL's sub is tuned to be more in line with the rest of the system, thus the bass is more subtle but actually has a sound.Originally Posted by doogie

what ta hell do i care about the loudness of the radio, i want the clarity and bass, and i guess bass doesnt matter, since most of you are 30+ music without bass is worthless
i dont care what anyone says the Gs sounds system is far superior than that of the TL end of thread.

I think you just proved my point. Thanks.
Well, I'm off to listen to some "old people" music. Later!

Speaking of the a/c, it bothers me that you can't recycle in in cabin air without turning the a/c on.
