I don't have any delays, but my G35S and another G35S I've driven and my friends 03 G35S all suffer from an annoying lag on the 1-2 manual shift if you take it above 6000rpms. The tranny will execute the shift, but it's very clear the power is detuned momentarily when the tranny engages 2nd gear. I call this torque management and a lot of late model cars use this on automatics now to reduce wear. Now if I let the car shift itself on the 1-2 at WOT, there's absolutely no delay on the lag. This momentary lag on the 1-2 shift is why I don't manually shift the 1-2 at the track.

I used to not use it at all on my old 03 sedan but after I got my 05 coupe with Rev Matching, its so much better so I use it a lil bit more.

Isn't that exactly what manual means?
