Creak Noise from front end - '05 G35x

Anyone experience an creak noise from the driver-side lower foot well, or lower steering column area after putting the vehicle in gear [auto] after it has sat from a few hrs - like in the morning..? I only have 300+ mi on mine and every morning I here a creak noise in this area placing the vehicle in Reverse or Drive. It will go away after the car gets moving, but it's consistent. I did reference this TSB: [http://www.infinitihelp.com/Ownershi...ITB02-060.htm] but this is for a '03 so I'm not sure if this is relevant.

Ideas..?

Most likely it's build up on the rotors after car has sat for a while. The build up and cause a creak/squeak/moan and it goes away once the car rolls a few feet. I wouldn't worry about it. The TSB you've referenced is for when the car is in chassis taxing situations and I believe they addressed the issue in the 04s.

I would say it is not from the rotors based on the sound that it is making -although the symptom might be the same [sitting for an extended period - holding the break while changing the gears]. I'm familiar w/a rotor groan noise when applying light pressure to brakes; that you can actually induce by finding the breaking point of the caliper grip on the rotor, but this is something different - definitely a creak from the front end somewhere.

“The page cannot be found” when I click on you link but that sounds like what my car started doing a few weeks ago. That symptom is one of several things I am going to have the dealer check out when I bring the car in for another warranty repair session.

my service consultant told me that creak sound is the ABS initializing its your brakes hitting your rotors nothing serious my 03 does it too every time it sits for a few hours the second you turn on your car and give it a little tap on the gas you will feel the car slow down like your hittting your tapping your brakes and letting go real fast.

It could be that, but he's describing a creak. The ABS cycle is 1-second quick whirring "bonk!" sound. Though you might be on to something because that is the area of the ABS unit. Another potential area of the noise could be the springs/shock mounts/suspension creak. There's lots of rubber in those areas that could cause a brief creak if the car has sat around for a while.

Read here. Same noise, almost same car. Perfectly normal.

Exclamation

It's definitely not the ABS cycling either - what I'm going to do is take into the dealer and see what's up. I can produce the noise almost 95% of the time, which is why I know this noise is not by design. I'll post my findings...
