Parallel parking your G...

How are you guys sensing the overall size of your G when you do parallel parking? Before I bought my G, I used to be an expert in parallel parking and I meant spaces that have an inch or two left after you parallel parked it in. Now I find myself walking out to the car alot during parking to see how close I am to the curb and other's cars bumper.

I think it's pretty standard, I drove a Volvo 850 GLT before this which seems to be similar in size. The trunk is smaller, but the hood compartment seems to be a tad bit bigger. Just go get some cones and practice, drivers ed style

Haha...the G's hood and butt is just big and hard for me to sense how close or apart from the other car. It's also the fact that the car is new so I don't even want it to touch the car in front or back.

Yea I guess in NY you really gotta be perfect with it (seen to many Seinfeld eps). I would be more worried about steering getting into the space, if you pull forward then cut hard left and slide in you should be fine, I do that to get a feel for the car to sense it. You'll be fine, otherwise nothing wrong with some love taps.
