It might be a different design, but isn't it the same size?

Yea, I see what you mean, the 04 size wouldn't fit. Blacked out tail lights on a black car look realy nice IMO. I'm sure you've thought about spraying them black, but putting a vinyl overlay on is so much better than doing that.
I'm not sure how they would look on my car...sedan in Carribbean Blue.
They look nice on the coupe tho, not sure about 4 door.

PM Andy: bluebatmobile or email him from his website and ask if he has '05's in the works. I presume you have an '05 since that's the direction this thread has gone.

The same effect could easily be achieved with $10 can of translucent smoke paint. It only takes two light coats of paint to achieve the desired smoked out look. The great thing is 95% of the OEM light still shines through. I did this to my Maxima and it lasted for years. If you mess up, acetone (fingernail polish), will remove the paint but won't cloud the plastic like paint thinner will.

Applying heat with a hairdryer to help the vinyl strech might make it work for the 05's. Anyone wanna give it a shot? I'll give a discount of $5 off the price of the taillight kit if anyone wants to give it a shot. Email me:
