If the oil was not changed in 15000 miles you would be adding so much between changes to account for another oil change.

The small filter on the VQ is the nature of the beast.....looks puny but Nissan must figure it's big enough.
I also used the Nissan maxima filter which is slightly larger. # 15208-9E000.

Maybe I'm just lucky but mine doesn't consume enough to see it on our wacky dipstick.

Let me point ya'll at this discussion as it occured a couple of years ago. This post also contains various brand filter model #'s for both the OEM and the larger size filters.
