the problem with the charger... is the name "charger". it is not a charger. it is sedan. if the concept came into fruition... that would have a been beast to reckon with!!! imagine that long nose with two doors and that rear end with that exhaust... wow...
I don`t care for Rosie O`Donnell nor the Charger. Some do (go figure). Those who state something is hot, or fugly, should appreciate that their opinions are just that-opinion, not the law of the land. Cut some slack in your posts. If it is opinion, say so!

I sold my 2005 Magnum Rt for my 2005 G35 Sedan.. the RT gets 25MPG, the SRT8 gets under 20..
My Magnum was 322HP at the wheels with intake and Exhaust done to it, it would do the 1/4 mile in less than 14 seconds and was faster than my G35..
But, it was an auto, and they geared it and all RT's wrong so it will get 25MPG and I hated driving it because it would kick out of overdrive whenever I touched the gas on the highway, 2.82 rear end and MB 5 speed Auto, it was at like 1700RPM at 65...
So, If there was not a wait for the SRT8 and no mark up I would of bought one I think..BUT spending over $40K for a DODGE product??!!!!!!!!!! I just could not do it.
My G35 is too small and while I love the car and it handles light years better than the Magnum, I am thinking I am going to have to sell it for something bigger, or something with a hatch or wagon.. Or, keep it and buy a HOOPTIE wagon..

You've got to remember that these are different cars. The G is luxury/sport and the charger is more sport/big american sedan. The charger gets 14-18 mpg while the G gets 20+(1or2). The charger is cool and so is the G. It just depends on what you're looking for.
a magazine (cant remember whick one) just compared the charger hemi against the stang GT and the GTO.. I dont remember if the Stang beat the charger or not but the GTO kicked butt on both..

mid 30s for the charger and mids 20s for the stang. Unless you are racing you are better off with the stang... Chargers resale will drop like a stone as well.
the Mustang won the test between the Charger, GTO and Mustang..
Charger gets 25MPG, but is in a different class than Mustang and GTO.. It has 4 Doors.. That is why I have a G35 SEDAN 6MT, it has 4 doors... Mustang and GTO are worthless to me, So I would get a Charger over them.

I think it's great that there are so many good rwd performance cars to choose from. I'm not really liking the Charger but it's a step in the right direction. GM still does not get it and is trying to shove V8's in fwd cars. The Mustang looks great but there are so many on the road right now, most of them v6's. I would much rather have the GTO because it has 100 more hp (400hp) than the GT and is a huge sleeper. Since they are not selling well, you can get one pretty cheap.
