Funny Story about a Dodge Salesguy and me...
The cars made in USA in the 50s and 60s were some of the best looking designs ever. Corvette, Mustang, Caddys, T-Birds....the list goes on. I find the new Charger and GTO looks disappointing.*

While regular Chargers won't hold, I imagine an SRT8 resale would be comparable if not better than a Mustang. Limited production numbers and a monster engine will help.

YAWN...
What, they couldn't come up with anything new so they re-did what had already been done?
Yeah, it looks decent, but I don't give Ford any cool points for going retro (again) to save face.
As for the Charger, if it were called anything else it might be a different story. Personally I think a 4 door that looks that good and can be had with 425/420 for ~$40K is an insane bargain.
[QUOTE=tgenius]I went to pick up some Wing Zone around 11:30pm the other night, and in the place they are talking about cars and bla bla bla, so then the guy brings up that he's a dodge salesmen and how fast the stock SRT-4s are. Yes, I know the SRT4s are sick, and with MOPAR they are even sicker... but anyways.. joking around.. I tell the guy I can take a stock SRT4 (I know I can't, they are faster in 1/4 mile) and when he asks what I drive, I told him a G35 Sedan.. he goes "That's a nice car" but you should get a Charger... I'm like.. yeah.. so my horrible gas mileage would get even worse huh?

What else would you expect a Dodge salesman to say?

it's easy to use those old mnemonics, and then bash something you're biased against. i know. my 9 yr old does the same thing to my wife's ford. the fact is. cars are made better now than when those bashing terms were made. every company has the good and bad. even nissan/infiniti. dodge is made much, much better than just a few years ago. when they designed the srt-4, they had a specific goal in mind... well they met that goal with success. but i feel the charger is a different story. i believe they tried to sell the name. there is no heritage. no consistency. no legacy... except the name. it's a heavy, powerful, solid, rwd sedan. i think they should have left it at that.

He has seen more hemi models come back with problems than any other engine. And since Diamler? What they inherited most are German electrical problems.
And thank you for comparing me to your 9 year old. You may want to have him teach you the difference between a mnemonic and an acronym.
i wasn't comparing you to my nine year old, i was just using him as reference for someone else that does just what you did, because it's easy to do. and i did mean mnemonic. acronym is cropping, mnemonic is attaching other words to more easily remember the original term. i wasn't trying to offend you.
i'm not a personal fan of dodge.
i agree with your opinion of dodge. it just came across as an uninformed biased judgement (i blame the internet for this). that's where the reference of my son came in. he just parrots my opinions that i 'spoon fed' him. your second post was much more informative. and i agree.
