Funny Story about a Dodge Salesguy and me...
I went to pick up some Wing Zone around 11:30pm the other night, and in the place they are talking about cars and bla bla bla, so then the guy brings up that he's a dodge salesmen and how fast the stock SRT-4s are. Yes, I know the SRT4s are sick, and with MOPAR they are even sicker... but anyways.. joking around.. I tell the guy I can take a stock SRT4 (I know I can't, they are faster in 1/4 mile) and when he asks what I drive, I told him a G35 Sedan.. he goes "That's a nice car" but you should get a Charger... I'm like.. yeah.. so my horrible gas mileage would get even worse huh?
SRT-8 Chargers are stupid cheap. Talk about a beast of a sedan. I'll take one of those before an 05 'stang. I'm hearing a base price in the mid-30s. Whether you can get one at that price is a different story, but if so - that's some cheap muscle.
Doesn't the Hemi get about the same gas mileage as the G - mid-high teens to mid 20's? I'm still sure they are having a tough time selling v8's now and it would be a good time to buy.

That's one opinion.
I'll spend an extra 5K and take the 425HP turd over the 'been there, done that' Mustang.
I see a million a day and I'm already bored of them.

Like they said the srt-8's base price will be in the low 30's, the 05 stang gt is only 25, spend 5 g's on a supercharger and you got well over 400 horses which will smoke the charger...plus the charger is super ugly
I PROMISE you that you will not drive ANY SRT-8 (C, Magnum, Charger) off the lot for less than 40k, and really closer to 45K. I think when you guys are quoting low 30's for the Charger, you're talking about the Hemi, but not the SRT-8. Big difference. In addition to serious engine mods (including boring it to 6.1 liters), the SRT-8's get a bunch of other upgrades (suspension, brakes, etc).
Personally, I would take the C if I was going to buy an SRT-8. And yes, any SRT-8 would annihilate the Stang. But no, the gas mileage is not in the mid-high twenties. In fact, the SRT-8 gets hit with the gas guzzler tax. I think it's rated at 14/19. In the real world, probably more like 10-12 (anyone that buys these cars is going to get on it). Lastly, don't forget to call your insurance agent before buying one

Before I got my G I really, really wanted a Daytona charger with the orange "GoManGo" color. Now after seeing the car in person, but not driving it I'm glad I chose the G. After all the G looks ten times better, I have read that driving the charger is like driving a big brick, it does not handle very well. If you want the ability to burn off the rear tires and go fast in a straight line get a charger, but I your tastes have matured past that point get a G for the most rounded experience IMO.
