Has anyone sold their G35 sedan for Private party value? Please list its specs and when it sold. We have seen alot of people buying used G35s but they all have been good deals that are way under private party. I am just curious about what the real world values are.

DaveB,

I said you would be stupid not to sell it because driving a car for 8 months and then being able to sell it for the same amount that you paid for it would be a no brainer. If I could get $34K for mine right now then I would have sold it already.

Yeah, I know what you're saying. I just don't see a point selling my car just because I can get within $0-500 of what I paid for it. I'd still have to buy another car and it would probably cost me more money. I really like my 03 and it runs like a champ. I wouldn't want to risk getting an 04 or 05 and have it run slower.

Just a thought but you could sell your 03 Sedan and buy an 05 Sedan for about $4000 more from Carmax. You would have driven a car for free for 8 months and now you would have all of the new features in the 05. Also if you look at carmax there are quite a few 03 Sedans for under $25K. If Carmax can’t get $25K for the car I am not sure why you expect to be able to when you can’t offer a warranty like they do? I know that people have shown that the 04 6 speed has a broader torque curve than the 05 6 speed. However, I haven’t seen any evidence that the 05 Automatic G35 sedan isn’t faster than the previous versions. The 05 auto Sedan has more peak torque and Horsepower than the previous cars. I haven’t seen a dyno for these cars but I would assume that the 05 automatics have stronger engines all around than the 04s and 03s. I finally got to drive an 04 G35 Automatic sedan(non-X model) equipped like my 05. The 04 was good but I really felt like the 05 is faster across the rev range. Have you driven an 05?

Why would a 6mt be more than the auto?

I had to post a pic of my beautiful baby!

Well, thats what I owe and I am asking that much. I will let eveyone know what I get out of it. I am also trying to sell my Daily driver civic hatchback as well.

I have always wanted to ask - Is there a bumper colored piece that could go in where the front plate is. That would make it lokk 206% better!

actually im from brooklyn ia, about 65 miles from you and what he is asking for it is about correct. They are higher priced in iowa...dunno why but they are, i think it is just because they are a rarity there.

Glad to see another Iowan here. Its even harder to find a 6 speed, but I need the right person to come along and buy it as well...

i agree with spendgy on this - lower to 22k, and you will more likely get a sale quicker than holding out for 24k or 25k, but 26k is asking a lot.
Um no way you got your 04 for 26,9k.

I got my 05 for $27,6K brand new. 3 Dealers offered me 05 with no sports package for $26,9-27K.

Really you are serious about that? You really got an automatic 05 G35 Sedan with the sports package for $27,600? When did you buy it? Did it have many miles on it? Did you buy it or lease it? Can you post a picture of it? That is by far the lowest price I have ever heard of for an 05 G35. You could easily sell that car for $27,000 as long as you haven’t put a ridiculous number of miles on it. Does that price include a trade in or money you put down? That just sounds too low to me. If it is true then I have to hand it to you because that is the best deal I have ever heard of. I guess I paid $6200 more than you and all I got extra was the premium package. I think I would rather have had the $6200. Still love my G though! Do you know if the car had been wrecked by the dealer? I think they can wreck a car and if the damage is under a certain dollar amount they can sell it as new. I don’t even think they have to tell you about it but I am not sure about that.
