i have '03 CB coupe right now, and thinking about selling this to my brother whos been drooling over this car for quite long time now. this is not going to be easy to let my car go... its an awesome car. its just.. there are many places i cannot go bc my car: dropped + exhaust mods = low clearance

i drive more than average people bc of my job, (almost 2000mi a month, i think,) and i think i will be pretty happy with '05 sedan. i really like the interior upgrade, (my coupe is rare cloth seats.) and i love the new body styling!!! (ironically it looks good bc it now looks like the coupe. hehehe.)

should i trade? or should i not? i need some opinions, plz.

You asked for opinions so here they are:

1. I personally dont like the CB color as I think it makes the car look cheap like it is a Mazda Miata or something. When you stray away from the colors like DG, BS, BO, and IP it takes away from some of the luxury look.

2. I dont like the coupe based on practicality reasons. I like the bigger size of the sedan and it basically has the exact same power and handling abilities as the car weigh about the same.

3. I have the 05 sedan in Diamond Graphite and I love it.

I had a 2003 coupe and now have a 2005 sedan. The coupe handled better, looked amazing, had better seats, was easier to modify (much more love from the aftermarket, BBK fit under OE wheels, larger front wheel wells...). The sedan is beautiful (just not as much), very practicle (trunk, doors, ride, height) and nearly as fast/quick. If I did not have children I would have a coupe still. Or a 350Z.

I owned an '03 coupe before my 03.5 sedan. I found that the sedan actually tends to handle better overall, but that's just my subjective opinion. One thing I know for sure is it has a better turning radius.

Anyway, I agree with the above posters. I sold my coupe when I moved but bought a sedan instead of a coupe after the move because I found I needed a more usable backseat and four doors. At first I was worried about the power difference, but I can't feel it. The only thing I miss is the sexiness of the coupe. While I love the look of the sedan the coupe is about my favorite car on the road in terms of exterior styling.

Add some aftermarket sway bars to the sedan and I bet it handles as good or better than a coupe. Mine is awesome in the twisties and corners.

1. I personally dont like the DG, bc there are just too many of it. I like mine for being unique. The color preference has nothing to do with what I am asking about.

2. I did not buy coupe for it's practicality. It is just more fun to drive. It handles better than the sedan. Yes, I've driven both.

3. I love both sedans and coupes.

Please give me some better ups and downs of sedans. No bashing.

I think the ups are it has a trunk, a useable back seat, and 4 doors. The downside is it's not as sexy. Otherwise they are very similar cars. I personally think that the sedan handles better, but that's just me.

lol~ you did just exactly what i am about to do! anyhow, i totally agree with what you said. i am kinda getting mod crazy with the coupe, and there are just so~ damn many after market parts you can get for the coupes.

i know i am going to do a LITTLE mods on the sedan, if i do get it. prolly some type of intake, (leaning towards z tube and pop charger, for they are just easier to clean than CAI) and exhaust (any recommendations?) and possibly tein flex or ss with p... i am surprised with the rear seat space & huge trunk. i am not expecting 4 door version of coupe, but i never pushed the sedan to the limit so not sure about its handling capability.

i love both coupe and sedan, but i guess its just a matter of what is more important : practicality or looks.

The only one to test both the sedan and coupe on the same day on the same track was the Motortrend Car of the Year test and the coupe had better slalom speeds than the sedan (by 2mph). That is a significant difference however, if you add the coupe suspension components on the sedan, they are pretty much the same car. The better turning radius is attributable to the smaller tire diameter.

I've not sat in a coupe. How does it compare to the 350Z in size? My brother has the Z and that car drives me crazy with it's claustrophobic interior......

On the performance side the sedan and coupe can essentially be made the same with the exception of more aftermarket exhausts for the coupe. There are more bodykits to choose from also in coupe-land. IMHO you're giving up nothing but styling and adding practicality although I believe the sedan to be a very attractive car.
