Welcome!

The TB is at the top of your intake right before it goes into the plenum. Just follow your intake tube up and you will see it.

Look at the picture below. It is at the end of the CF intake tube behind the IC hose on the right of the blower.

Just happened to me this weekend, SLIP/VDC lights all came on, engine RPM would increase VERY slowly even when I floored the gas. Turned off the car and restart, everything fine except SES light. Yesterday, the light went off. I was about to cancel the appointment but maybe I should bring my car in for a new sensor or something.

Had the same thing happen to my 2005 G sedan today. I was driving normal for 10 minutes, parked it and when I started the car again, the SES light came on along with SLIP and VDC light. It seemed like wasn't able to accelerate in 1st gear (i have an automatic) but after it gets going slowly i was able to accelerate rather slowly.

After reading the boards, sounds like it's a throttle body issue. I'll need to take it in ASAP to get this fixed. Would this covered under warranty? Thanks.

Continuation of my previous post: After I get to my destination, I shut off my car for about 15 minutes. When I return, i start the engine and the SLIP and VDC lights are gone but the SES light remains. I am able to accelerate as normal. This is the first time it's happened.

Again, after reading the boards, it seems like a throttle body issue. Is it safe for me to drive the car after experiencing what I just described? Thanks.

I have an 05x and was on the way to the dealer this morning to get an oil change and both the VDC OFF and SLIP lights came on. However, I didn't have any loss of power when the lights were on. I stopped for gas and when I turned the car back on the lights didn't come on again. I mentioned it to the dealer and he immediately said that I might need front brakes. Since I knew that the car would need brakes soon, I wasn't surprised when they told me it needed brakes. The dealer said something to the effect of that when the brakes wear down, the skid control system shuts off to allow for the extra compression the capilers have to make before the brakes kick in.

Of course this is now another side effect of having a car whose brakes wear prematurely. I have 22K miles and am about to put a 4th set of brakes on the front and third set on the rears.

What size tires do you have on your 20's?

sorry to bring an old thread to life, but this can also happen if the Mass Air Flow sensor is not attached correctly or broken.

You should still be covered by the powertrain warranty, unless your mileage is sky high.

Newbie here, bumping up an old thread, but adding to the list of another '03 sedan with the same issue (minus the limp home mode).

We did put on a set of 225/55/17's in place of the 215/55/17 stockers (slightly different height) a while back, but I don't think that the lights were concurrent with the tire change
