It's not snow or VDC off - that actually says "snow" or "VDC Off" in the cluster.

 

If he knew don't you think he would of said what the "S" stands for?

You need to have the light right to see it and you need to be looking for it. At least that was the case for me-I hadn't noticed in almost a year of driving.

"Sport" mode. There's a special ignition / gearshift combination to enable it.

Wondering if it is snow mode for the 2004.5? My 05 has that indicator in the cluster and it reads "Snow".

Come to think of it, is there a snow switch for the 2004.5? Or is that something the computer does for you?

 

Could it actually be a "5" instead of an "S"? Thats my final answer...

There is a snow switch in mine and its was mfg in 07/04.

Yeah - that's right - they just moved the switch on the 05.

 

its the "Sport" indicator on the JDM cars that was not used on the USDM G35

they have a switch for ECON and SPORT shifting for the car.
