My Infiniti service guy just told me Infiniti will be selling performance upgrades for the g35. All authorized by Infiniti, I asked him like what? he said chips, exhausts stuff like that. He told me it should start in the near future.

I spoke to the service department as well. I went to them because I read in a post at this web site that NISMO would be out in either July or August. Anyways... I spoke to a gentlemen who said that they can't seem to get a straight forward answer either. He also said that Infiniti said that at the end of last year it was supposed to be out, then in April of this year, and then in August of this year. He finally said that the rumor was Feb of 04. I write only what he communicated to me.

 

well nismo is officaly released in the US. But to nissan so u can get all the 350Z part for the G. If u try a searsh for nismo i posted a link to a site that had the release dates for the nismo stuff.

 

So if the mods are done at dealer is car considered stock if i sell with the 70hp chip upgrade (he he). I would think chip would actually be good for 20hp right? That puts sedan in some wicked bmw beatin territory and sub 6 0-60 hopefully

 

The term "stock" is used for everything that comes standard at the factory and not at the dealership. The dealership are sure to charge almost double for these "performance products" at least that'll be the case for the installations.

The Nismo upgrades from the dealership will not count as "stock" but they should be covered under warranty.

point is i can upon sale of car, appease those who want stock as my mods are factory and nissan approved and warranted. I would never buy a modded car and suspect paranoia from my couterpart buyers.

 

Well, it is, technically, a modded car at that point. Go to Infiniti's website, into the build-your-own section, and whatever you can put on the car there qualifies as stock.

You can buy a factory spoiler after-the-fact, and probably consider it stock, but a NISMO engine chip or sway bars count as modified. Installed by the dealer and warranted, maybe, but definately no longer "stock."
