i drive a coupe and had the sedan as a loaner not to long ago, and yes they are nice and nimble. but for those who are saying stock for stock the sedan will win. Your crazy. MY COUPE felt faster. but i loved the all wheel drive, that was fun to mess with. And i cant believe you guys flaming someone who was complementing the sedan. buy hey, what ever floats your boat

time for more mods...

90% chance he was auto and stock as well.

my friend has an 03 G35 coupe 6mt, and mine is an AT 03G sedan and its basically a drivers race, ive beat him a couple of times and he beat me a couple of times, sometimes my car feels like its got 500hp it just takes off like a rocket, and sometimes it takes the RPMs to get to like 5k for it to pull hard
why does it do that?? the temperature is pretty much constant around 60-65 degrees

so you had a G35x loaner and yes they are slower then regular RWD platform sedan, drive a regular 4dr and you wont see too much of a diference at least i havent from driving a 6mt besides for the obvious launch

I think it is not as much as a coupe against a sedan than it is the person driving the car!

Kinda doubt that you'll actually ever read this, but your statement "You're crazy" just shows your ignorance. I've been to a real honest-to-god track and raced THREE other coupes(2 modded, 1 stock), when my sedan was stock. My ET's beat the other three coupes, by a fairly wide margin. So go back to coupe-superiority-ville.

A coupe is definatley faster, the G35x just is slower because the extra weight. I've only raced one coupe and lets just say he could keep up, but all he saw was butt.

Ok that drag time was after 4 months I got the car. That means it was only 4 months that I actually was driving stick. The auto sedan or coupe has to have every bolt on to keep up with me and that is tested in the dragstrip with other G35s. Now if we ever go the dragstrip together 8 out of 10 times I am going to get better times than you.
After having the car for about a year, I finally can launch the car properly shift properly. And those are the most important two things you need to do on a manual car before you start modding it.

If you're talking abour launching, yes it took me about 7 months to launch properly from about 3000 rpm and im sure a lot of people will say that is too high to rev but with slipping the clutch its perfect. And trust me it is way harder to launch a manual car than an automatic.
But if you're talking about shifting or launching like a granny it took me about 2 weeks.
But my point of the post was that I went to drag strip before I learned how to launch the car properly.
