About to be the new kid on the block!

Hey folks.

First I'd like to say that I'm happy to have found another forum with lots of enthusiastic and helpful people. I've been a Maxima owner for some time and I was used to the Maxima.org feel of support. But now that my income tax bracket has shifted upwards so has my taste in cars. Hopefully this weekend I'll be a new owner of a G35 Sedan. But I need some help in getting the right price.

I've looked at a few configurations and this is what I've decided on:

Aero Package
Bose Audio System
Engine Control Monitor
Power Sunroof
Premium Package
Sport-Tuned Suspension Package

The total MSRP is 34,440.00

So I'd like to know what people have paid for that list of options recently. I'm hoping to get the dealer to come down to about 31500-32000. Is that good or should I go lower? Also I'm in the Miami,FL area and if the local dealers arent too cooperative I'd like to look at some internet dealers for better priceing. Any chance you folks of any good ones that will work with me?

I know its a lot to ask my first time around, but hell, I like to make an impression.

P.S. What the hell is an Engine Control Monitor?

I was looking at a car exactly like that, I was going to lease it over a 24 month period, 15k miles a year.

Warren Henry Infiniti
20850 Nw 2nd Ave
Miami, FL 33169

That's on 441 & 208th street, they've got a black on silver ( or vice versa ) with those options.

Also,
Broward Infiniti Lighthouse Point
5230 N Federal Hwy
Lighthouse Point, FL 33064
tel (954) 360-9400
fax (954) 481-2730

Talk with Jim Abitol, and tell him Gil sent you.

I was looking at almost $600 a month, zero down, sign and drive, and Jim had a deal like that for $590 a month, I believe.

I ended up getting my car from South Motors because those were the guys that had the car I wanted with Nav, etc, etc, but it's a normal 2003, anod a 2003.5

Re: About to be the new kid on the block!

When I got my G, I shopped Warren Henry, Scott (in Broward) and Infiniti of West Palm Beach... Scott Infiniti in Lighthouse Point was by the best experience. I purchased in Palm Beach because my company had an "in" so I got my G sedan at just $400-500 above invoice, in February.

I'm thinking you can get very close to invoice pricing, and if they don't want to deal now, wait a few days.... dealers are always willing to negotiate during the last few days of the month.

I work with a few (4) other people who bought their Infiniti's there and they can't stop praising the sales process nor the customer service they receive AFTER the sale.

Haven't had any experience with South Motors.

Good luck with your shopping... and get as close to invoice as you can...it's certainly not impossible.

I purchased my sedan with the EXACT same sticker. I got my dealer down to 32,500. I might have been able to get another couple hundred off at another place, but I was already done dealing.
I am in SoCal, but this should give you an idea of where you can go with the price.

Hi, this is Jon. I'm also new to this club, so I apologize for not making it formal.

I did want to let you know my purchase price before and after everything was said and done.

I have the 2003.5 G35 Leather 6MT with the Premium Package. MSRP $34,383.00

I don't know how many of you have the rear reclining seats but these seats are pretty awesome. Anyways, here are the prices for the car.

Vehicle $31,591.02
Theft Guard, Lo Jack, Automate Upgrade $2,509.95
and finally the taxes were approx. $3,000.00.

I hope this helps.

My sales person was Jeremy Calvin in Phoenix Arizona. Midway Infiniti
Bell Road and I-17

Re: About to be the new kid on the block!

I am a new kid; just drove home an emerald green/willow leather w/ sunroof, Bose, XM radio, and Michelin Pilot Sport AS 235/50.

Since this is going to be primarily my wife's car, no sport suspension or 6MT (darn!) We paid cash $30,123 + tax + tires, great car for such a decent price. People can't believe we got so much car for so little!

I am also a big fan and contributing member to Maxima.org, have a fairly heavily modified 2K Maxima with only 59K, still a young buck (the car, that is, jury's out on me!). Just wanted to post and say Hi, I plan to be a regular on this forum!

2K Maxima, 5-spd, Bose, "the works". Mods: FSTB, RSB, H&Rs, KYB GR-2s, Brembos, more to come?!?

Re: About to be the new kid on the block!

Hey folks. I got my G!!! Silver with Black interior. I didnt get the price I wanted but it wasnt too bad either. I got it for 500 over invoice. Came out to 35k after taxes, title and all that fun stuff. I love this car. The power is incredible.

Btw, theres some kind of burning smell after I drive it for awhile. Is this normal because its new or should I head into the service department already?

Congrats on your purchase!

Never mind about the burning smell, that's normal and will disappear soon. Read this thread https://g35driver.com/forums/showfla...view=&sb=&vc=1

The odd thing is the Maxima and the G cost about the same price new. So wouldn't that mean your price range is the same.

Re: About to be the new kid on the block!

I was refering to the fact that since I now have more money to spend I can buy a new car. Although there is little difference in price between the G and a Max, the choice was pretty clear.

Re: About to be the new kid on the block!

I was just looking at the vehicle details from the infiniti site and I was wondering a couple of things. First, I see UV-cut tinted glass listed on here, yet I have no tints. Should I hit up the dealer for the tints or does this refer to something else. Also, what is this Engine Control Monitor option? I've been looking but dont see it.

Thanks.
