RePlaced wheel bearings

Took my car in for service and told them about the clicking noise when i put the car in R. Saw on My350z that there was a TSB out. They said they need to repack the wheel bearing. And they said this was normal? anyone else with this problem.

I have the same problem, but I was told there are some parts to be replaced as well. They're on back order (about 2 months now).

I think it requires more than packing the bearings. I'm not sure exactly what's involved, all I know is that I was told parts were being ordered.

Regards,

JC

I had the same thing. They just fixed it on Thursday. My problem would occur when I would slow to a stop. My work order said, "Repair Rear Drive Shaft - Both Sides".

I don't think this was normal because it took a few visits to figure it out. They would service my brakes, take apart the e-brake assembly and it would go away for a few months then come back again. Now they fixed the Rear Drive Shaft and so far so good. I'll have to see how it goes after a few months.

You cannot repack wheel bearings on G35's becasue they are sealed type. So if it goes bad, you have to replace the entire assembly.
