G35 Sedan gets poor side impact :(
#16
The yahoo/forbes article just happened to use the M/G as their example of luxury cars which received a poor rating in a test. There were other luxury cars that received poor ratings in other tests, some from acura, bmw, audi, and lexus.
I've never understood why folks who own other cars feel the need to make fun of a car that scores poorly in some safety test. I am sure we're all guilty of it here, too - but why? Justifying a purchase? Inferiority complex? Luckily some of those CL members are decent guys, shame some of them are such *****. Just enjoy your car and get some perspective.

PS, I never said it made the list. I just said it was mentioned to be one of the least safe cars because it got a poor rating. But didn't make the list.
Hey, we all make mistakes.

GO BACK AND EDIT THE POST, please. That is not very cool of you not to do that.

lol.. he suffered major damage, how is that a good thing about the car? I say screw all this **** about side impact, frontal impact, rear impact and head restraints. If you're going to wreck your car you better do it right. At a very high speed and with no regrets.. but that's just from my insane perspective. You may all differ.

Just to throw in a couple of offbeat thoughts. I think my G is safer because it handles so well. I have tried and I can't get the wheels to break loose no matter what I do. It is a bigger car than equally priced Lexii and BMWs and I think that is something that is an independent factor, all other things being the same, a bigger car is always safer. I can't prove that, but that is my general impression. The other thing is whether your car is going to break down or not. A volvo that won't start in a bad part of town is a lot less safe than a Civic that is running!
