First round of mods complete..... (PIX ADDED!!)

OK, my car is three months old and I've completed my first round of mods. I must say, I'm now REALLY excited about my '05 Sedan. Having been surprised and dissappointed with the OEM "sport" suspension package and ridiculously bad Turanzas, I ended up replacing it all, except for the cool 18" sport rims. (I know, I know, they'll be gone too....but nice rims are $$$$!!!!)

Anyway, here's round one (with my unofficial "mod grade" for each):

Replaced factory sway bars with Stillen adjustable bars
. This was a no-brainer and, perhaps, the single best bang-for-the-buck mod there is. What an enormous difference in driving enjoyment when you reduce that godawful G35 understeer. Mod Grade: A

Replaced Turanza ER33's with Continental ContiSportContact2's (235/45/18). Another very high impact mod. The Conti's don't seem to get a lot of run around here, but they're quite good. Grippy, stable in cornering and light. Can you say "night and day"? Mod Grade: B

Replaced Sport Springs with Tein 350z H-Techs. So far, this mod is the "key to life". The car not only has taken on a much sexier (lower) posture, but the firmer springs just make this baby sizzle. I'm surprised at how smooth they feel in spite of the significantly higher spring rates. Mod Grade: A-

Replaced Sport Shocks with Tokico D-Spec's. HELLO!!! Oh yeah, this is what sport suspension is supposed to feel like! I'd forgotten. For less than $700 for both the H-Techs and D-Specs, the car is absolutely tranformed in feel, response and, most importantly, FUN! (Isn't that why we blow our hard-earned money on all this stuff anyway?) Mod Grade: A

My other miscellaneous (and less important) mods are: 35% Tint - looks great on Brilliant Silver - and "Bumper Plugs" for the holes left by the unnecessary front license plate holder. These actually do a nice job - not as clean as a new bumper, but only $25!

So, my overall G experience has improved by leaps and bounds for about $2000 (installed). Money well spent for sure! Anyway, thanks for having me in the club. Sure am glad to be here.

-T

PS I wonder what I'll do next?

Where are your pictures I have the same color I just added 35% Vblock Tint and the factory lip spoiler. I ordered the factory spoiler as well but the dealership messed up the order and ended up with a black spoiler :-(

Looking very sweet Teeter!

The rears on your H-Tech's are lower than my S-Tech's.

Thank VR. The funny thing is that I used 3/8" spacers on the rears. If I hadn't, it would look like crap! -T

He is asking if you got the D-Specs for the G35, or for the 350z.
