G35/350Z Dynoshootout 7/26(Sat) San Jose,CA
Hiya all,
Just wanted to remind anyone that we are doing the dynoshootout tommrow With the 350Z's. We have 5 exhaust systems including. BORLA INJEN STILLEN NISMO and 5ZIGEN.
To make things more interesting we are going to be testing the STILLEN Airbox for the G35 Sedan as well. So those with G35 will defenitly want to come out and check it out as it is applicable to the car, as the Exhausts are comign with similar systems too!

Please post the results for those of us who live on the
"other" coasts. Especially the Stillen Air box results as
I plan on buying it soon.
2003 Twilight Blue Sedan 5AT, sunroof, leather,
splashguards, GG red 7 wire Hypergrounding kit, 350Z intake duct(soon), K&N filter.

I just got back from the dyno run and it was my sedan used in the test. I like the sound and it looked pretty easy to install(thanks to Stage Motorsports). I will post more about the box after I see the dyno runs from Yuichi. It does make the car down shift quite a bit-it wants to haul a$$

I left at about 12:15 and it seemed to still be jumpin. It was just before the flyover to 87. It was VERY EASY to miss so don't feel bad. You will know the result of the intake soon enough. We have some questions about it before it all can be said. My biggest is CARB approval. Monday should give light to all questions-hold tight

Yuichi, thanks for the invite to the dyno tests. It was very interesting to see which cars gained or lost HP and why. I'll let your dyno charts explain the differences. As a bonus I was able to meet some of the folks from the forum like Yuichi, IQ9, and Gyala8r. The shop was not easy to find, but I did find the Strictly Z shop. They gave me directions to the test site. Once I saw all of the Zs and Gs I knew I was there.
BTW, my 5AT sedan w/o aero package averaged 24.7 MPG for the round trip Lamorinda/San Jose. The AC was definitely on. I-280/680 speeds were typically 75-80+ MPG (everybody was moving at that pace). Not too bad. This is only 10%-15% less than my Passat wagon with the 1.8T and smaller tires would average.
