vehicle information system problem

Just got my 06 x and i have a question re: the vehicle information system. On the fuel information page, when i am stopped i am pretty sure that the km/l fuel economy rev meter should go down to zero... when i am at a standstill the fuel economy rev meter goes up to 15... when i switch the units to mpg it seems to work fine... does anyone know of a reset for this... am i totally off in what i think should be the case???

thanks

I cannot answer your question but was wondering if you can answer one for me. I assume you have Nav. Does the information center give you any readings on the tire pressures for each individual tire? If not, what other info does it give? Thanks.

I think your fuel economy meter should go to max consumption while stopped, but then gradually go down as your speed increases.

Welcome and g/l with your new X.

"Fuel Consumption" gauge simply reads intake manifold vacuum. The more you press the gas pedal, the less the vacuum (which equates to less milage per gallon/liter). IT's not high tech computer "calculations". Another very inexpensive gadget to impress buyers as being 'high tech'. It's a novelty.
