Question regarding keyless entry...

Hello all,

I have the regular keyless entry and not the fob from the premium package. Question for you guys. One click opens the driver door, 2nd click opens the passenger. Is there anyway to program it so the 1st click opens both doors? The remote is not that strong and sometimes I clicked it twice just to find out it was clicked once (then the passenger yanks the door handle just to find it's locked). Is it a security reason, thus the first click only opens the drivers door?

Thanks...

Yes. https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-coupe-v35-2003-07/18607-13-electronics-tweaks-available-your-dealer.html

I printed the list, circled what I wanted, and asked politely.

Oh...so only the dealers can change the unlocking options? I guess I'll mention that the next time I bring my car in. I've always wanted this other option too.

Remote Auto Locking Function Mode (Doors automatically lock after exiting car)
Mode 1: 5 minute delay
Mode 2: Function disabled
Mode 3: 1 minute delay

I've had to run back to my car to lock it so many times after I walked away without activating the alarm. Changing it to 1 minute delay would be great.

Has anyone found a scan tool that would allow the ordinary person to change items in the BCM?

I have seen scan tools on Ebay for Nissan, but they were $1200-2000---a bit high for a play toy.

Probably. I doubt the BCM has changed much from the 2005 to the 2006. In fact, the list probably was written for the 2004 model year.

What's funny is that Lexus has been running an ad for a while now about the features that are customizable on the new GS. We have the same sorts of things available, but people don't know about them.
