Sunroof
Sunroof
I am sure that this is in the manual or has been discussed but I am going to ask anyhow.....
Is it possible to leave your sunroof vented and turn the car off and lock it?
I have tried a couple of times. It gets really hot here and the little venting does help but the G shuts the sunroof on me when I vent it rather than open it.
Any help??

Re: Sunroof
LMaz, I do it all the time. I leave the sun-roof tilted up (not opened) and lock it. This leaves a little venting and keep the car from becoming an oven. I do not think that the car has ever tried to close it for me.

Re: Sunroof
LMaz. From what I can see on the BCM options sheets, the sunroof should not automatically close or open. You have to initiate a movement yourself.
I leave my s/roof tilted open always to vent excess heat. Usually with the inside shade pulled almost closed.
When you say "vent it" do you mean partially open not all the way tilted open? You can't half open the tilt --- it's either fully tilted open or fully closed.
If you are jogging the tilt closed and then shutting the key off to stop it at a point just open, you may succeed with that with the door open. With the doors closed and you shut the ignition off, there is a short period (1 or 2 minutes) that the power to your windows and s/roof is retained.
Hope this helps; let me know how it goes.
