Yesterday I went to the track for the 2nd time with my car. My mods are a Z-pipe and Power Duct cover removed. The conditions were perfect (mid 40s, fairly dry air). I got smoked by most of my competitors (2 LS1 F-Bodys, Turbo Trans Ams, SC'd Marauder), but I did get to run the 340hp Dodge Magnum Hemi with an intake which supposedly adds about 10whp to those cars. He ran a 14.18@97.85 compared to my 14.32@97.73 (new PB). I just couldn't match his launch. He got a 2.01 and I got a 2.15. The Hemi owns VQ35 from the start, but it's not so strong up top. With similiar reaction times (.2), he shot out to a 2 car lead and held it the whole way. I will say my VQ sounded a hell of a lot better. The Hemi is way too quiet, even with an intake. That car is begging for an exhaust.

Those are some awesome times Dave. I was planning on taking my car to the track last week, but the local track is now closed until next season.

I'd like to go to the track too and see my numbers. The hemi is nice but our vq can do some work too.

Was it an SRT Magnum? Now that's serious $hit...for a station wagon!

Good read....good time Dave. I just love reminding people that I make "contact" with that they got just whooped/had a tough time beating a 6 cyl. 'family sedan'. Keep it up.........UBC, jbx

Nope, the SRT would be much faster and have 425 hp.
