Ok..Let me see if I can help you out a bit....I live in Arizona (Phx) Here is a quick meteorological lesson....High pressure systems (domes) create the high temperatures your talking about for this time of year. The rain is due to the monsoon moisture coming up through Mexico. This is the hottest month ever recorded for the Phoenix area....which also means a lot of high temps in Socal as well.....It is also monsoon season as I mentioned earlier. There is no tie or correlation between monsoon moisture and the potential for the seismic activity your freaking out about. Relax and step away from the crack pipe.

The remedy for this concern is simple. Tie a king sized pillow to the roof of your car with a piece of twine. The G should be fine.
