Just curious, for those who did the coupe midpipe mod, what did you do with the sedan midpipe/resonator you removed. Is it saleable?

I doubt it too....chances are, anyone on this forum that would need a new mid-pipe, would probably install a coupe middy. I ended up putting mine out for the garbage men to pick up, but my neighbor took it from my trash......HA! NFC what he's going to do with it, since he drives a Ford F-150...maybe spare exhaust piping?

I still have my stock Y-pipe lying around......too lazy to do anything with it....you think anyone would ever want to buy this as well?

What are you going to do when you get rid of the car?

I don't think there would be anything wrong with selling the car with the coupe midpipe. It is basically doing the same thing as the sedan midpipe. There are quite a few people that don't know there is a difference.

I agree w/ you rupdog....I highly doubt I'd have issues when getting rid of the car...esp. since 9 times out of 10, I end up trading my car in, as it's usually run into the ground (or close to). It's just a muffler and does the same thing....well put.

Trey - why do you ask? Yeah....maybe I could make a little more $ buy uninstalling all my mods & selling them off & then installing stock ones back on the car before I get rid of it......but the time & effort to do so and storing all my stock parts @ home for years....let alone selling the aftermarket parts with so many miles on them/possible corrosion (living in the N.E.)...is it worth it? Just trying to see if that's where you were going with this.

Thanks.

Sell it to a scrap metal place, that's what I did with mine.

Since most all mods are done for the owner's personal satisfaction they usually generate very little return ($$$$) when the car is sold. As a matter of fact.....they (mods) oft, more than not, may give the impression that the car was 'hot rodded'. We all know better than that, but I'm talk'n 'bout the generally 'mod ignorant' public. You're much better off re-installing the OEM shyt prior to the sale, or trade, of the car and selling the after-market goodies privately (here on the site, as I have in the past, works GREAT) At least this way you'll get back at a 'fair' portion of your expenditure and help site members get a good deal on something they might not normally be able to afford while you're at it. I'm not suggesting anyone do anything in particular with the oem parts. Just curious what people were planning on doing when they get rid of the car, if they had already "unburdened" themselves from the oem parts.

Keep all original parts. Modded cars loose value, so it pays to put it back to stock and sell perfromance parts(ebay or message boards)separately

That was my point. Well worthwhile provided you do all your own work. Ya just gotta weigh the +'s and -'s 04' G35X, Brilliant Silver,"Padded" (Metal Matrix) by Stillen" "Full 'X' Cat-Back" by Stillen, "Aloomie Pedals" by Inf., "Popped" by Wolf, "Pullied" by UR,"Tubed" by Z,"D-Badged" by me, "Clear Cornered" by JDM, 05' "Tails" by Inf., "Tall Boy Plenum" by APS, well "Grounded" by Gordgee

Thanks all, but in the mean time I got this ton of bricks (sedan midpipe/resonator) that is taking up space and I was just wondering if there was a market for it. I guess I will just bring it to the scrap yard.

Cool. That's what I thought....guess I'll hold onto my stock Y-pipe then for another 4-6 years (hoping I keep my car that long). I still have my stock intake tube too.

I typically keep all take-off parts but I would gladly give away my sedan mid-pipe if anyone wanted it.

Right now its propped up against the wall next to the stock Mustang H-pipe that came off our Saleen.
