Extended Warrant ?????

Have a 03 an the warrant runs out in March of 06, I plan on keeping the car for another 3-4 years so would it be wise to get an Extended Warranty.
It has 23000 miles on it now, so should I get it from the dealer or are there better places to get them, and how much do they cost, also if I do get one should I get it before mine runs out. Thanks for any info.

Richard,

I just bought my 03.5 6MT with 18k on the clock. I figured that I would keep it until it died so I went and got a infiniti elite extended protection plan. It is an infiniti backed warranty, non 3rd party, comprehensive, and coverage includes my radio and navigation. The plan I got was for 5yrs/60,000 miles or until 2010/ 78,000 miles.

The local infiniti wanted $1330 for it, I called Grubbs infiniti in Tx and Mark hooked me up for $930.

Good luck

That's a good deal and worth going for.

If you are a VPP customer you can buy the extended warranty directly from Infiniti at a substantial savings. If not VPP, that deal from Grubs sounds pretty good.

Wish I had known you could buy an extended warranty from another dealer.

2 years ago, the Infiniti ESP were pretty pricey from my dealer, so I ended up getting a 3rd party plan.

I have just over 20000 miles on it now after 26 1/2 months, so I still have some time before I leave the regular warranty.

I went into the dealership undecided on a warranty, neither firm for or against, so decided that some protection with the more electronics in a car was worthwhile, especially since a previous car I had ended up getting an engine replaced.
