Haha
sorry... missed it somehow.
I really don't see it as an issue.

I don't know of anyone that has had a problem.
Most wouldn't even know it's there.

I have my engine cover off (easier to see) & the dealer could care less.

Post the link to your auction so we can see pixs and read what the seller said about the car.

Beautiful G. Welcome! Better learn how to spell INFINITI, though. The spelling ***** will feast on your bones! You will love the car, regardless of how you choose to spell Infiniti.

that ebay ad was a thread out here during the time he was selling it... someone else asked about the 315 hp claim... it was the general consensus (including my opinion) that the seller meant crank hp not rw. It is feasible to be 315 at the crank with those mods.

04 is 260 hp at crank

Plenum spacer causing warranty issues shouldn’t be a concern because it's easy to take of prior to taking to dealer.

What he said. Infinity does audio equipment. Infiniti does cars.

Are you saying that those mods can make 55 HP?

If it's the same ebay add that I was referring to - the car has similar mods as mine... And yes, I'm saying those mods can make 315 crank hp.

04 AT sedan: Stillen catback exhaust, Stillen CAI w/ thermo sprayed Z-tube, 1/2" M.E. spacer w/iso therm kit, TS ECU F-flash and a few minor tweaks... 271 rwhp dynopack... tomorrow will test on dyno jet.

You can't add the individual "claimed" gains... aka ricer math.

Dyno test is the only way;
& even then it has to be done properly.

The best bet is to just enjoy the ride for what it is

Haha- ricer math.

no worries...
real world on the dyno,....
sedan & coupe were very close
I would be suprised if there is any real world difference.

what i do is.... take the number and divide by 2.. then add it on... I have the injen on my 05 6mt coupe. it says 18hp gain or whatever.. so i figure..9-10 hp added. Figure the hp of my ar is around 305-310.

The advertised HP gains have always fascinated. My buying decisions have been influenced a great deal by this forum. I have the 1/2 inch Motordyne plenum spacer, z-tube/JWT pop charger, Stillen Catback Exhaust (and HKS sport muffler in case the Stillen is too loud) stored and waiting to be installed in spring. So far, only Gord Gee's GroudingGear 10-wire system is installed in my 2005 G35x. There is a definitely a noticeable improvement in the overall driving experience with this system. Anyway, I can't wait to see if the other modifications will improve the performance (i.e. acceleration) of my X.
