skunk2 spacer

just orderd a skunk2 plenum sapcer 5/8" . i went with skunk2 because for the price you get a larger diameter and its made out off "carbon composite material (carbon impregnated nylon-6) that offers superior thermal insulation characteristics which also increases power by keeping the upper plenum and charge air temperatures". let me know https://www.skunk2.com/Merchant2/ima...cts/plenum.jpg

I'd be curious to see the real gains of the Skunk2 spacer.

I know they are a reputable company for the Honda/Acura tuning crowd, but are really new to the G35/350z world. The limited reviews I have read said to stay away from their product, in favor of the Motordyne spacers...

I would tend to agree^^

JM2C....
In a lot of ways.... a spacer is a spacer is a spacer;
except for, fitment & thermal isolation.

Don't know how well the SK2 fits so can't comment.
I do know that the MD is an excellent CNC machined piece.

For thermal isolation;
MD is def the product ...
with the thermal isolator on the intake manifold,
the entire plenum is isolated,
not just the top half

I had the Skunk2 spacers installed last week on my sedan. Fitment is fine.

I've had the Skunk2 for about 2 months. I didn't use silicone to seal it, but instead used a second Infiniti gasket on the upper section (cut out the middle section). No problems with fit or finish. No dyno though.

The dyno on Turbo magazine did an article and dyno the skunk2 plenum spacers. They made about 10hp. Not bad...

Based solely on a combination of what I have heard, read and experienced for myself . . . Motordyne is the only option for my hard earned bucks.
