woo hoo!

It's going to be a lot easier to purchase from grubbs than going through Japan.

Thanks for the information!

I think reading the A/V forums, you dont even need the bracket. You can reuse the one that's already there.

Same here- Can't wait to ditch the stock head-unit. Thankfully I held onto my Pioneer XM tuner.

I'm afraid not

Turns out if I want the "updated tagging and id information (I do), then I'll need the newer XM tuner- The trunk net from the Passat works in the G, of course the G came with a trunk net. So nothing really carried over. Sweet eh?
This mod seems pretty sweet though. I might wait a bit, at least until after x-mas. Plus, you'll have installed your AVIC by then and will know how to do it

AVIC -D1 : $1k
XM GEX-P10XMT: $140
Double Din Kit: $275
Not including shipping

It is true that you don't need the new bracket. However, if you use the bracket that is in the car, you will need to redrill holes so that the Avic will line up properly. The new bracket has holes in different locations so that redrilling is not necessary.

Hahaha! Get in on the group buy if you haven't already.

The one thing I do not touch is the electronics in my car. I will have to source it out to someone.
